"We are glad we chose this hostel for our one night stay. The only tricky part was finding the S21 to Trogen as it is past the train station near a corner and unmarked, but a local helped us. The hostel is a short walk down a steep incline from the Birnbaume stop. It is clean and the breakfast is adequate. The view from the cafeteria is lovely. Board the S21 back towards town to Marktplatz to visit the Cathedral and Abbey Library."

"This is a really unique and quirky property! We really enjoyed our room. We booked the top attic room with 5 twin beds and our kids/teens loved it! Really unique space with interesting history. I won't recommend it to people with mobility issues, as the stairs are steep and the ceiling has low beams. But for us it was a really fun experience. Other rooms may not be this way. Self check-in was easy! You just push open the old wooden door to enter the hotel. Once in the entryway, there is a ATM...

"We were slightly confused on arrival. We had booked a private family room for three and when we went in, the Comfort Apartment had one double bed, three sets of bunks and a single bed in one room and a separate room with a further set of bunks. Now the cost per night had seemed very expensive for what was quite a basic hostel however if you had filled the room with family and friends it would have been a real bargain. The host was very friendly and wanted to share a drink with us and chat to get...
