"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms, halls and breakfast area are extremely clean. What we didn't like was how extremely tiny the double bed rooms are.The furniture is old and and nothing at all is updated. The refrig isn't cold and yes we adjusted thae temperature of the refrig. The coffee is like water or mud there's no happy medium when it came to the coffee. The beds were comfortable but small, full size when most hotels feature queen size beds these days. "We booked the king bed room it was so spacious we could have danced in the room. Dissapointed no coffee pot in the room. Coffee and cereal was offered in the lobby. Mattress was so soft and comfortable like being on a cloud. Will definitely book this hotel and this room again"

"We stayed one night - January 26. I came up from Boston with my adult child who had to take a training at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. Being January, everything in Castine was closed - no hotels, nothing. this was the next closest place. I was very pleased. THe room was pristine. Looks like brand new carpet and flooring. The room and bathroom were immaculate. THe beds were very comfortable and the towels were of high quality. "

"This location, The Charles Inn at Vacationland in Bangor, ME is on your website and allowed me to book 3 rooms and it hasn’t been in operation for 2 yrs. I drove 4 hrs with family to arrive and find out we in fact did not have rooms to stay the weekend for my daughter’s college graduation. I had no other option but to look for 3 rooms elsewhere at the last minute and had to pay $1,300 more than I thought I was paying for the first place I thought I had booked. "As always our stay was perfect. We use the Milford Motel on the River because its super convenient for us. Its close to our inlaws and close to town. When we had to cancel our last trip the Motel called me to make sure everything was okay, and that nothing major happened. "
