"This is a very dated property, and the property's location down winding side roads was hard to find and not very close to Grass Valley/ Nevada City. The facility dates back to the 1960's, and it shows its age and some neglect. Little has been done to maintain or update it. All that said, the staff was nice, and they do offer one of the few opportunities for short term accommodations at a reasonable price. "We had a wonderful stay in Cool. The property is fantastic. It was clean and had an abundance of amenities. My kids loved the spa and fire pit. They enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and looking out at the expansive views of Cool. I found it so helpful that all the drawers in the kitchen were labeled with what was inside.
