"I fell in love with this place. Just the perfect, quiet stay by the beach. There are cute restaurants and cafes around, and you can fall asleep to the sound of waves. The owner was so kind - he even offered me some gimbap for breakfast. I hope I will have a chance to go back someday, it truly felt like a dream. "

"Total scam!!! 😡😡😡 On Hotels.com it is advertised as an hotel while it was an old motel, there was no bathroom door and the sink was outside the bathroom and in the middle of the room. The room was small and hot and the hotel itself is old, very far from the pictures on the website. It looked nothing like the pictures. They gave us amenities at the check in like in a motel, including condoms.. very disappointed. The room was very small, no space no walk or where to put the luggage. There is...

"We had a wonderful budget stay with 8 family members. Enough space for social time, good breakfasts and hosts. Gangneung has a lot to offer, the local markets, churches, historical buildings plus lots of good eateries nearby & over the seaside. Just keep your eyes open. We don't speak korean but everyone was friendly & helpful. Bus access is nearby though we drove mostly as a group. Just be mindful that you may need to stay out between 1000-1500 for it's cleaning time. "
