Yes, the bathroom layout (sink in the room, shower with a hole instead of a lock) was strange, but can be overlooked when you take into account what you’re paying and how much other hotels are. The area might make some people feel uncomfortable, but I never felt threatened. 2 metro stations are close by and you can be in the centre quite quickly. Possibly factor in taking a taxi from the metro to the hotel if you’re travelling back late and you’re not used...

"What a gem. Not only walking distance to most major attractions, the neighborhood has 100000 Cafe restaurants bars to choose from. Eating and shopping from this area allowed us to dodge paying tourist prices. The hotel is charming and spotless. The staff are so welcoming and helpful and kind. This will be our second home in Paris. The owner is always there checking in on us. The hotel has a history to tell. ❤️ Do NOT buy the rooms from hotelscom. Their prices were better directly from the owners...

"It is what you expect a budget hotel to be. The room was clean and the staff made our bed and gave us new towels everyday. The washroom layout was a bit strange but it worked fine. The staff was friendly and was able to answer our questions. The breakfast was not really worth the price. The room does not have a kettle or fridge and a hairdryer has to be loaned from reception in exchange for a piece of ID, which we thought was strange but it worked out fine. The location is decent, but it’s a 10...

"Staff and breakfast and laundry service were good. No elevator and room was cold despite heater. We were in their “family” room which was accessed through a narrow staircase outside. Bathroom had no ventilation. Water pressure in shower was great however you had to hold the the shower wand since there was no place to put it, no shelves in the shower for soap or shampoo. "
