The lady was very welcoming once she arrived though. Very basic room & the bed wasn't very comfortable.... our sons single bed was comfy.p"

"Upon arrival the owner met us and unlocked the front door to reception, not friendly at all, we were told restaurant was available only for breakfast which was too late for us as we were catching a ferry. We were told to always use the back door for access, as front door would be locked, strange for a hotel, but the most annoying thing was the look on her face , she looked at us like we were a piece of dirt from under her shoe, unbelievably rude to say the least. "Second time I've stayed here. Convenient for the golf course and supermarket and a pleasant walk into a lovely town. Along with some places in Normandy, Bethune is the friendliest place that my Friends and I have found in France. Very good breakfast and nice Lady on reception - plus Thomas the cat. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of fizz in the pleasant garden."

We booked for 4 adults and we were given just one bath towel. There was loads of dirt and built up dust on surfaces, along baseboards, and under the sofa bed when we opened it. "Location of hotel is great, right in the centre of town, clubs, restaurants bars within walking distance. The room is very dated, the bathroom is really poor, especially old dirty looking shower curtains. Staff are welcoming. No lounge to chill out, breakfast room is tiny and not welcoming."
