"The reception was difficult to find with poor signage and the front wentrance is not the entrance. The carpark is fairly well lit once you know where to go and the condition of the second building / actual hotel was in a reasonable condition. Check-in was straightforward with lifts up to the room. On arraval at the room we were greated with a hot room unfortunately the air conditioning did not work and windows are fixed closed (sign says use air-conditioning to regulate heat). "The stay at Aden house was fantastic! The owner Martin was very friendly and helpful, giving us advice about the area and sights to see as well as places to eat. The en-suite appears to be a converted closet and while not the roomiest of commodes, grants excellent privacy and sufficient facilities. The area is lovely and the breakfast we were served included the Best full Scottish breakfast we had in the two weeks we've visited Scotland. Amazingly friendly and personable hosts! Highly recommend!"

"To be fair to the one member of staff I actually saw he was polite and helpful. I decided not to bother him about the room, as every time I saw him he seemed to be already dealing with a dissatisfied guest! The hotel is confusingly still branded prominently as a Holiday Inn Express, and fitted out much as one. It should be of a reasonable standard, but seems to be desperately short of staff. This clearly extends to housekeeping. While the room had clearly been done and the bed was well made...
