"The receptionist was helpful. The room was clean also the bathroom. The double bed mattress was actually two single mattresses meeting in the middel Not what I expected, The bnotedroom- the space between the side walls and bed was very narrow one had to walk sideways. not good.It was however very cheap and good value."

"Really good place to stay if on route to or from the Caen ferry port. Only 20 minutes away. Open till late and offers a great breakfast from 6.30 in the morning. Rooms are a little small but adequate. Caen is great for a visit. Good value. "

"The owners and their son were so very gracious to us. They accommodated a late arrival and made us feel at home. Visitors will enjoy, as we did, the quaint nature of the cobblestone, courtyard and convenient access to the rooms the restaurants where quite close and accessible breakfast was available but modest "

"I booked this property as it was reasonable priced and centrally located. There were various restaurants within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful. The communal areas looked a little aged although the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The continental breakfast was satisfactory with free refills of juice / coffee. On the whole a pleasant stay."

"From the welcome at reception when I arrived until I left I felt like a valued guest. With no breakfast room all breakfasts are hand delivered to the room and contained so much food I was unable to finish what was on offer. Position of the hotel is great. Although quite a long walk from the station, for those less inclined to stretch their legs there are two tram lines T1 and T3 which will take you from the station to the end of the street the Astrid is on. There are plenty of dining options...

"Dirty, urine smelling bathroom and room; insects in the bathroom. Garbage from previous visitor stuck along the water pipe under the sink. The remote was not cleaned, probably ever; we had to clean it to attempt to touch it. Have pics for all, but won't bother uploading."

"We liked this place, it is freshly decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and breakfast was fine. Really pleased with the location, walkable to the main attractions of Caen and plenty of restaurants nearby at the marina or the castle. There was no problem parking on the road outside the hotel on a Sunday."
