"We were in a party of six and shred 4 rooms. The friends sharing 2 rooms said it was a bit cramped. The staff were friendly and there was no active reception Sunday evening we checked in ok The breakfast was plentiful and good value. Fine for a stopover"

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"Me, my wife and our Irish Terrier stayed for a couple of nights in total. The location is great, the auberge is in a village which feels very secluded because of the surrounding forest but is in reality perfectly placed as a staging post to or from southern France. On both the outward and home legs of our drive we were warmly received, rapidly booked in and quickly settled into our comfortable rooms.
