"Lovely hotel, quite grand with big old-fashioned lobby. Average breakfast and rather limited bar food menu (restaurant closed when we there) but the food we had was quite good. Rooms very comfortable, spacious, super clean, brand new bathrooms. Small issues: carpet could do with replacing though and no usb sockets. "

"Front reception was lacking in friendliness and efficiency upon arrival. Dark haired woman was befuddled by my request to have an early check in at 14:05 v. 15:00. She said she would have to reach out to the extensive housekeeping team and made it seem like quite an imposition. I waited for 10 minutes and she never approached me with an answer. It was very strange. I had to approach her, whereby she gleefully informed me that check in was at 15:00 and my room was not ready. Aside from that...

"I was due for hip surgery the next morning and the room was perfect. The staff were very nice and asked my husband how my operation went. Customer service second to none!! Amazing. Will be back for a longer stay and a wee break x"

"The breakfast was very well done. The pillows could be better. The place was very clean. I think small mirror in the bedrooms would be good as the bathroom is shared. Also i think little tables in the bathrooms would be nice so you would have more place to put your toiletries. Parking was great and convenient. Thanks Peter for your hopitality "

"Lovely overnight stay , was here for wedding at nearby hotel. Very comfortable beds , room was spotless. Reception staff very friendly and had a great breakfast served by Gary , nice decor in dining room. I had the veggie fry and sausages were homemade and delicious , all food was freshly cooked and hot. Would highly recommend "

"The stay was quite enjoyable. The breakfast service could do with finding someone who is more accommodating as apposed to the night shift porter who greeted us after our evening out and enquired if we were okay for water in our room for making tea/coffee and gave us a new bottle of water. It's little thingy like this that shows the quality of a hotel "
