"The facility was very clean. It needs better lighting in the hallways. I do a lot of business traveling as a woman. The hallways were dimly lit and could be a security risk. Bathroom floor tiles were loose; also, a safety risk."

"We celebrated my granddaughters birthday. The lady that took my call when i had questions, was the same lady that checked us in. I wish i would have gotten her name.She was wonderful!! She wished my granddaughter a happy birthday, at breakfast the next day she asked how swimming was. She smiled everytime we seen her! The best customer service I have ever had staying somewhere!! We are from Defiance, so this was in our hometown. She still asked if we needed anythign. I just truly appreciate her...

"Old style motor inn. Excellent and reasonably priced restaurant on property. Condition of property is obviously challenging but management is trying. I have stayed several times and have noticed improvements. Good value. I like this place and will stay here again when I’m in the area."

"I grew up in Defiance, OH as did my spouse. We usually stay with my mom when we visit for the holidays but this time an elderly aunt got mom’s guest room so we debated as to either getting a hotel room for multiple days or a VRBO. I am very glad we chose staying at The General’s Quarters. It is a cozy place, with a lot of references to General Anthony Wayne, the inevitable founder of Defiance, OH. A perfect place for two or a family to stay at when visiting this city of 20,000 in NW OH."

"Good - It was cheap, clean towels. Overall, was what expected for the price. Bad - room was "non-smoking" but had ashtray and about midnight cigarette smoke was rolling under the adjoining doorway from the office...had to get up and pile bath towels around base of door to try and minimize the stank. Desperately need new pillows - would be better with a bath towel!"
