"The location is excellent. You can easily walk to the restaurants and shops in the Pines Resort, and there is a partial view of Bass Lake from the back deck. The bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the rain shower. My host was communicative. The property was rather bare bones, and a few small creature comforts such as a bath mat, tissues, and tea would have gone a long way. It is pretty difficult to find the property, especially without consistent wifi in the area. "

"I booked this cabin as a base to send off my father. After not being in the area for 8 years it was like coming home. Amanda our host was excellent and very responsive. The cabin was exactly as listed, only better...it made it very hard to leave. The location is amazing and amenities comfortable. Spending mornings and evenings on the deck and walking into the village for a meal just made it. Our family (adult kids with their others) want to make this an annual stay for sure. "I reserved the home for President's weekend. A week before our stay we found out my husband wouldn't get that Monday (President's Day) off. I reached out to VRBO almost 2 weeks before our stay and received no response to see if we could modify our stay to Sunday. I finally was able to the get in touch a couple of days before our stay and they said no because it was just requested. I responded that I reached out over a week and half ago and they said because they did not hear back from the owner...

"We had a fantastic stay at The Boat House Cottage! Easy to find and only 20 mins away from Shaver Lake. When we arrived, everything was spotless. The heater was on so it was a comfy temperature, and there was a little basket of snacks. Everything is well-thought out, from a stocked kitchen (with two coffee machines) to extra blankets and puzzles/games around the house. There’s a large smart TV and strong WiFi too. Super cozy for our winter getaway! Highly recommend."

The house was beautiful and the large font window was our favorite part. The only negative was the mattresses were a little too hard. However, I would stay here again. "

No outside area to sit. cabins across the street and a couple up the hill sat outside our cabin smoking “several” different types of things. No on site management so no way to get help with this situation as they also had 2 loud dogs. There was a piece of paper on the table saying “No internet, except in cabin 9”. And that we could go 1/2 mile down road to restaurant. My daughter had work to do so we went to the...
