"When I arrived i heard them tell another guest some maids had not come in. I was told my room was ready and given a key. The room still had its door propped open for cleaning so i asked a maid in the hall if it was ready. She said no, it needs towels. So she ran to get those. Once she did and i got in my room, i noticed the door was odd. Door latched fine but i could see the hall under where it latched. "My wife and I were on an extended roadtrip and needed a place for an overnight so we could drive the Scenic Highland Highway to New River Gorge NP the next day and Elkins was the perfect spot . This Hotel too was perfect and we intend to return to Elkins for a longer visit and will definitely stay here! "
