"Such a friendly place. The guy who checked us in was welcoming, humorous and efficient. He worked so hard, I hope the company realise how great an asset he is. He manned reception, served our meal, ran the bar (thanks for the Negroni) and was there doing it all again at breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was exceptional both at dinner and breakfast. Rooms might be ready for an revamp but everything was clean and worked well. Certainly somewhere to book for a repeat visit,...

"The hotel is close to the city centre and just a 15 min walk from the railway station, there is a cocktail bar and cafe on the ground floor and other restaurants are only a short walk away. The hotel has no lift but it is an older building so it is to be expected. The room was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was basic but buffet style so you can have as much as you want, I will stay here again "

"This hotel has been transformed from an old farmhouse, our room was small, but contained mini bar, kettle with possibilies to prepare yourself tea or coffee, there were hair dryer and compulsory toiletries in the bathroom and even safe on the wall. Not common things to have for such a price in Belgium. Bed with quality mattress and very charming old cupboards. And owner or person in charge, who checked us in was also very nice. I'm glad we chose this one."

"The property was located in the centre of all the restaurants and just a few minutes walk from the caves for the Christmas market which was a convenient location. The Hotel itself had a large restaurant. There is no lift and a very steep staircase to the rooms. Our room had a faulty lock so each time we tried to go out it took several minutes for the lock to catch. We did advise a member of staff but they did not do anything about it. "Location is a double-edged sword. Having a balcony overlooking the grote markt/stadhuis is only nice during the day. Sleeping with all the noise was difficult but overall still possible. The rooms appear to have not been renovated in a while and the hallways were quite dirty. A huge plus is the food, as the restaurant is much better and has many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner"

"The location of this hotel is good, and it was clean, staff very nice, but it's a pretty run down old hotel, and our room was really small and terribly hot, even with the window open, and the fan running 24 hours, it was still really hot. Bathroom is tiny. breakfast doesn't open until 9AM, which is quite late if you want to get up and go somewhere, so we had to get breakfast at a different place.
