"I would strongly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Akureyri! It is far and away the best hostel I've ever stayed in (and honestly closer to a hotel than most). The common areas are kept meticulously clean, and are decorated beautifully. The kitchen is fully furnished with multiple cooktops, fridges, and sinks. I stayed in a room with two twin beds, and it also had a desk, TV, and small sink (one of my favorite amenities). The bathrooms are stylish and always clean. Truly a fabulous...

"The shared facilities were the best for camping. The pods we slept in felt great although we flipped the mattress, the space the had many outlets, ample heat and insulated walls. Surrounding the area with cool walking paths to a lake and the waterfall by the restaurant was amazing! It's a dark zone to see the sky perfectly at night! "

"This is a gorgeous spot to stay. I loved the the hot tub, and our room was quite comfortable. There was limited options for dinner for us, as the vegetarian option wasn't available, but they were great to make something up for us. Would recommend this place. "

"If I could give them 8 stars out of 5 I would. This place is a gem. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the guesthouse (which the owner designed) is beautiful. So beautifully decorated and warm and homey. The breakfast was perfect. HOMEMADE BREAD! and so many other choices. A perfect Icelandic breakfast. We are so happy we stayed there two nights. By far this was the best place we stayed at in Iceland!"

"Likes: - Nearby a shopping center that conveniently had gas, grocery store, and pharmacy in same location quiet neighborhood - Bed and bedding were comfortable - Didn’t receive check-in instructions in my email but after calling the manager was quick to send information and answer questions Dislikes: - Shower was clogged and the shower was very shallow so water filled up the shower very quickly.
