"Location to the old city was good easy walking distance, however lots of traffic noise (which appreciate is beyond control of owners). In a residential area, supermarket is in walking distance. Reception staff were really nice, welcoming and helpful. Room was compact, very small balcony and could do with some updating, tile paint coming away etc Very small lift, luggage storage small charge, Think there was a bed bug problem as took all the necessary precautions to stop mosquitos getting in....

"Do not book this property! Booked this in November as it was near our actual hotel & this was to have a room on out final day as we had late flights! Got there at check in only to be told in very poor English they had doubled booked - they sent us in a taxi to a hotel they told us was 2,mins away! When we finally arrived it took us 45 mins to walk back to our hotel & the hotel room was not any better than a hostel! Very disappointed - we should have been told before hand! "

"The Valentino offers a basic clean room and property with pool for a reasonable price… Good value for the money…UNLESS You are a non-smoker and cannot stand to be near smoke. The manager and family are very friendly, but they hang out in the lobby all day and evening and smoke nonstop while they watch TV. The lobby could otherwise be a nice place to sit and play cards or visit over a drink as it has nice furniture. But the family takes over the lobby with the loud TV…and smoke. So beware if you...

"As a female lone traveller i tried to contact Lido Star, Plus Hotels and Expedia regarding the appauling recent trip advisor reviews of this hotel. Make sure you check dates of reviews in 2020 it seemed fine. In 2024 people are sent to other hotels, there were pics of blood on the sheets etc. As i was arriving in the dark , called and emailed for reassurance - no response.
