We had dinner at Carriages next door and this was very good quality. Lots of parking around the hotel. An excellent gym with good quality, new equipment. "Wonderful country house hotel in about 200 acres of stunning grounds. Lots of outdoorsy things to do. The sitting rooms are glorious with open fires and the staff are attentive and there are lots of little touches that make the hotel stand out. The food is excellent, eat in the Great Western Restaurant if you can. Breakfast excellent. "

"Stayed for 2 nights with my 10 year old daughter and nearly 80 year old mother and both felt catered for and had a lot of fun. The food was excellent, however waiting staff in the evening were a little slow. The activities and facilities are vast. We were fortunate to have Liam as our Activity lead and he was absolutely brilliant. Patient, funny, spoke to each age group with the right level of explanations and despite no one knowing each other in each class, by the end we were all championing...

"A great hotel to stay to break out travelling up. Staff accommodated our late arrival. Breakfast was good, bed was comfy, staff were friendly. My only jiggle was that our room was cold when we arrived at 11:30pm and was cold through the night. "
