"Reception was up on second floor via a small lift or stairs. room was on fourth traffic noise was acceptable, floor room clean, with kettle for tea/coffee. Hotel not far from Porta Susa main line and tube. For travelling get day rider tickets for tram bus and tube under 6 euros not forget to validate on each trip on each bus etc you get so 4 trips 4 validates. If you visit 00the Egyptian museum it closes on Mondays at 2 so arrive when it opens as it takes at least 5 hours to see it all "

"Al mio arrivo l’hotel era chiuso. Quando ho chiamato al numero di telefono scritto sull’insegna, mi è stato risposto che la prenotazione era stata annullata. Mi è stato detto dalla proprietaria che non collaborava più con Expedia, che non aveva più stanze e che in ogni caso non avrebbe potuto applicarmi la cifra a cui io avevo prenotato. Poi quando ho risposto che avrei fatto denuncia ai carabinieri, mi ha trovato un’altra stanza presso un altro hotel. Soggiorno da dimenticare. "

"Quite a horrible experience. Would have left if hadn't pre paid. Most particularly due to security concerns and because of the outrageous price for what was essentially a room in a hostel full of immigrant families. (Not their fault!) It was decribed on hotels.com in grandiose terms which it did not live up to. No staff spoke english (fairly unusual if you run a hotel in a major city)and seemed bemused someone had booked a room. Or about whether it had been paid for. The room was 3 floors up...

"The Hotel Albergo Alba is right downtown Turin within steps of all the sights. There a number of steps and levels that need to be climbed before you get to a tiny elevator. This hotel will not work for someone with handicaps. We had an apartment and it was clean and orderly. You can't beat the price for such a location. "
