"The hotel is old but clean and very convenient to all the central areas of interest. The staff was great especially Angela! She was the most helpful and friendly person I met this vacation. Always a smile and volunteered to carry our luggage (in fact insisted) up the 70 steps to the room. She helped park our rental car in the courtyard and answered all our questions. "Hotel is ok, old but clean and nicely located We did hear a lot of outside noises but nothing that kept us awake. Most of the staff were friendly. We had some spotty maid service, they lightly cleaned our room but didn’t change our sheets for the entire 10 day stay"

"The reviews are correct..there are 3 flights of stairs to get to the hotel. Once you are up there, it is quite nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room had a huge balcony but the thinnest bathroom. Hard to sit down if you know what I mean. Breakfast was fine. Easy walk from the train station. The neneighborhood does not look great but only a few blocks to the town center....beautiful. Catania is a lovely city and Bmode is a good place to stay to explore."

"Dark dingy accomodation in run down area of Catania. Toilet very poor. Staircase dangerous with broken steps. Entrance door hard to find, run down and not inviting. Stayed for 5 mins then left to find somewhere better. Photos on Hotel.com website are misleading. dont think should be on Hotels.com listings. Really, really disappointing. "

Het 'technische probleem' bleek een dubbele boeking te zijn....... Ons werd verteld dat het appartement een privé opgang naar het strand zou hebben, dit bleek een van sloop hout gebouwde steiger met een trappetje de zee in, tussen rotsblokken van 3x3 meter. "Breakfast was make your own coffee and a box of Twinkie things in a cupboard, so the full breakfast ad was a complete lie. We had to wait about 25 minutes outside on dark street before someone came to let us check in, and no invoice was available (but he did write receipt). Nice staff, but this place was hard to spot and not honest in its advertising. "
